Birthday Wreath

The first of several wreaths that might crop up this week!

This uses the set Wondrous Wreath to demonstrate that it is not only for Christmas.

I've used Pear Pizzazz and Old Olive to stamp the wreath and cut out with the matching framelits.

The flowers are cut out in So Saffron and Pink Pirouette from the same set, as well as the bow.

Sentiment and border from Rose Wonder in Pool Party and mounted on card to match.

Detailed Floral Gift

Several customers have recently purchased the Detailed Floral Thinlits so I said I would try a few more different things with them.

Another Pinterest project I saw here was this one:

It's like a little basket, another great little gift or thank you item.  I've made this one in Wisteria Wonder.

Sentiment from Thankful Thoughts and cut out with Oval Layering Framelits and finished with a spot of silver ribbon.

Stampin' Up! have been releasing a few images this week for Demonstrators of what is to come in the next seasonal catalogue too (on sale from beginning September) there are some more super things coming!

Bermuda Birthday

Still keeping it simple and this was inspired by another Pinterest card here.

I've used a little embossing folder called Floral Affection (comes in a pack of 2 lovely designs).

The flowers are from the Botanical Blooms framelits, a great idea as I really miss the little flower punch we had in the last catalogue.  2 of the flowers are stuck together and topped with a perfect accent.

The stamp is from the Rose Wonder stamp set and finished with some stitched ribbon - all in Bermuda Bay which contrasts beautifully with the Whisper White.

Tiny Treats

The new clear Tiny Treat boxes are a super little size for that little something!

I've copied these from the catalogue by adding a strip of in colour paper, filling with mints and wrapping with matching ribbon.

Colours used here are Dapper Denim and Peekaboo Peach again!

Thank You

... to everyone that came to see me at Yandles at the weekend.

It was very busy so sorry if I didn't get to catch up with everyone.

A little bookmark today as I've only just had my first play with this stamp set called Gift of Love.

It is a hostess set so can only be obtained by placing an individual or party order over £150.

Last weeks hostess did just that though which is why I thought I had better try my stamps.

It's another two-step stamp but doesn't it give a lovely effect?

I've used the colours Old Olive and Peekaboo Peach.

Free make and takes

As well as demo-ing Baby Bears all day at Yandles on Saturday I will also be doing free make and take bookmarks with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and some of the new in colours.

Pretty Florals

Another easy card for today using a different colourway on the Detailed Floral Thinlits:

I've used white on white but added some little flowers which were 'scrap' from cutting out this die in Sweet Sugarplum.
The 'For You' is from the Treat Bag thinlits, mounted on a layered circle and finished with some matching ruched ribbon.

Yesterday this little chap also turned up on Facebook:

Just to mention that penguins aren't just for Christmas!

Baby Bear demo

It turns out the little candle holders in my previous post make ideal teacher end of term presents so I have less samples after the weekend!

The bears are back today to remind you that I will be demo-ing them next Saturday 23rd July at Yandles Handmade Craft Market.  I will also have a little offer on a bear bundle on the day.

Come and visit to see how easy they are to produce.  There are over 60 other stalls there too selling a wide variety of handmade goodies.  With refreshments as well what more could you want!

Floral candle holders

I am very lucky to have the lovely Jenny Moors for an upline and this week she has created a super class using the new detailed floral thinlits.

I loved the little tea light holders in the picture as soon as I saw them so had to have a play.

They framelits are used to make the box and then inside is one of the new clear tiny treat boxes and a battery operated tea light.

I've topped each one with something different too.
I've used Botanical Blooms, Butterfly dies and the Festive Flower punch.

Here is a link to Jenny's blog post and you can purchase detailed instructions on these and matching cards from the right hand side of her blog.

Apple Tree

I wasn't going to do another sneak peak yet - but I've changed my mind!!

Bearing in mind yesterdays hydrangea head - today it is a tree!

Isn't it super?  I'm a great fan already.
The apples are also in the set, as is the thank you and the dots in the background are also a stamp related to another tree in the set.

Anyway, you have a couple more weeks to save those pennies if you fancy it.

New Goodies!

A sneak peak today of a new bundle that will be available from 2nd August for that month only!
If it is popular enough it may appear in a future catalogue but for now it will be limited edition.

This is one card I've made with my set and it is sooo versatile you will love what else you can do with it that I will share another day:

The Thoughtful Branches stamp set has 23 stamps and a set of 9 matching thinlit dies.  Together the bundle will be £46.75 if you fancy it.

I think this hydrangea type flower is lovely.  I've stamped Watermelon Wonder on to Calypso Coral card.

Let me know what you think and I'll sneak in another sample or two before the launch date.

Flamingo Rose

Moving on from Night of Navy to another Crafty Hallett bag in Flirty Flamingo:

These are really easy to do and of course you can decorate them with whatever you want.

Now I've got the plate combo right in my Big Shot cutting this rose is a dream so I did lots last week!

The link to the blog post with the bag instructions is here.

I've added flowers from the same die set to the handles.  The brads are now discontinued but I felt they added that extra bit of strength to the bag.

The sentiment is also from the Rose Garden set.

Sending a smile your way

A different combination but still using Night of Navy today:

This paper is from the Affectionately Yours Speciality DSP set and also features the colour Crumb Cake.

I have just simply cut a piece and layered it on to the cards.

The sentiment is from the co-ordinating stamp set Love and Affection (cut out using the new Oval Layering Framelits) and I've stamped a couple of the flowers from this set on Crumb Cake and cut them out as they are the same size as the images on the paper.  These are then added with 3D pads for some dimension.

A few pearls to finish again.

Congratulations Florals

Following on from yesterday's DSP this card features the new Detailed Floral Thinlits which go rather well with it:

It cuts an absolute treat with the precision plate in the Big Shot.

The die can be split in to two parts but for this card both parts are used on one piece of card.
I have simply mounted it on to some thick Whisper White and added some pearls.

Finished with a sentiment from the Floral Phrases co-ordinating stamp set which I've cut out with a Project Life thinlit and a touch of Night of Navy thick bakers twine.

Saturday 9 July 2016

Floral Drapes

The first of a few posts featuring the colour Night of Navy today.

This card I copied from Pinterest here as I'd been meaning to try these drapes and loved the paper in this one.

It uses the Floral Boutique Designer Series Paper on Night of Navy card which I've also used for the bow (made with the Bow Builder Punch).

I used versa mark and white embossing powder for the sentiment.

Thursday 7 July 2016

A Trio of Roses

These cards feature 3 of the new In Colours (Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach) and the Rose Garden thinlits.

I've cut the image from a piece of Whisper White but then stuck the card left behind (after discarding the scrap) and the image on to the card.

The sentiments are from the co-ordinating Rose Wonder stamp set and also cut out with the framelits.

Wednesday 6 July 2016

Large Letters are here!

Well, the Large Letters made it!

Because I haven't done much scrapbooking I didn't think I needed the Large Letters Framelits and they are rather an investment (especially as they come with matching stamp set of course) but I've seen many tempting things and for their first outing I thought they would be ideal for this card!

I've used the idea that Julie Kettlewell showed as at OnStage again with the stamp set Confetti Celebration and embossed it with the Brick Wall folder.

Oval Layering Framelits are used for the red and yellow and I've stamped the letters and cut them out!

The colourway was chosen as a loose link to the Manchester United logo which features these colours.

Just Peachy

A little Bookmark/Tag just to show off one of the Floral Affection embossing folders.

The image is embossed on Peekaboo Peach card and I've added some Pearl Basic Jewels and In Colour Enamel Shapes to finish it off.

The corners are rounded and then it is mounted on a strip of card which has been cut with the Scalloped Tag Topper punch.

Some matching ruched ribbon to finish of course!

Sunday 3 July 2016

I'll be your up ...

A new stamp set for a new week - this card is made from the set Bella & Friends.

This cute doggie and bird are just one stamp and there are 11 in the set - for only £18 I might add!

I've stamped them on to some Whisper White cut out using a Banner Framelit, layered on a Wild Wasabi layer.

I've coloured using Blender Pens and ink pads, the bird is actually cut out and 3D'd.
The balloon was also stamped on a piece of Calypso Coral and cut out separately.

Sentiment from the same stamp set, cut out using a thinlit from the Gift Card set and layered on a Pear Pizzazz layer.

Saturday 2 July 2016

Thank You Beary Much

Tags for this weeks order delivery - yours could be next!

Baby bear has been stamped in Sweet Sugarplum and Rich Razzleberry - aren't the words great too?

The bears are cut out and layered on a couple of Lots of Labels framelits and some lovely matching ruched ribbon added.

Happy Day

There are quite a few cards around with kites on using the Swirly Bird set (see how versatile it is!) and I used this post on Pinterest for today's card - https://uk.pinterest.com/pin/499336677417086054/.

The squares are cut with Layering Framelits from the Serene Scenery 6x6" DSP and the clouds are stamped in Island Indigo with the Sprinkles of Life set and punched out with the tree punch.

Sentiment is from Perfectly Wrapped and the Kite is stamped (two-step stamping) in Watermelon Wonder and Cucumber Crush and cut out, the tail added to the card afterwards.
