Oh, Mickey

Last day today to 'join' and get £130 worth of goodies for £99 PLUS 2 extra free stamp sets that could add another £92 to your haul!

Following on from the Swirly Scribbles thinlits on my last post today I've stuck with quick and easy and used the Swirly Bird stamps that go with the thinlits.

There are some super variations of the Mickey card doing the round on the internet.

I've backed the card with some DSP and used Thoughtful Banners and the matching punch again with some bakers twine to finish off!

Floral Swirls

Back to simple but effective today with the Swirly Scribbles thinlits:

I've used the colours Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Sweet Sugarplum.

The little flowers are in the thinlit set too - rather nice aren't they and somewhat overlooked by all the swirl cards currently!

The thank you is from Thoughtful Banners and punched out with the new Classic Label punch.

And some gems to finish of course!

I've tried to find the link of where I saw this card and it's lovely colour combo - apologies I can't find it but thank you to whoever posted it originally!

Baby Bear rainbow

Today I have a little Thank You note let featuring the colours of Peekaboo Peach and Mint Macaron:

The sentiment is from the set Thankful Thoughts and has been cut out and layered using the new Layering Square Framelits.

The flowers and leaves are in the set Love and Affection and I've stamped the flowers with Basic Gray on DSP and cut them out (by hand!).

More excitingly here are a selection of Baby Bears I have been playing with!

I've used lots of different colour combos, some from suggestions our CEO Sara Douglass gave us at OnStage and some I've tried myself.  There are 3 stamps that can make up the bear in several steps, I have used 3 in most of them but only 2 in a couple which are equally effective.

They are so fab in all the colours.  The set also has a little bow tie for the bear and some great sentiments to go with it too.

I shall no doubt share more cards on here and will also be demo-ing it at Yandles Handmade Craft Market on 23rd July.  I will also have all these samples and you can see which colours make up each bear.

Hearty Congrats

Another 'nearly' CASE'd from the catalogue card today.

This card uses the heart die from the Sunshine Wishes thinlit set.  They cut a dream too using the new Bigshot platform and precision cutting plate.

The Congrats is also in the thinlit set and the words and 'leaves' are in the matching Sunshine Sayings stamp set.

I wasn't entirely sure on this set but had seen some nice things done with it and it is very versatile.

The background paper is from the Serene Scenery DSP 6x6" stack.

Keep tuned for the play I've had with the Baby Bear set!

Perfectly Wrapped Kit

A new kit in the catalogue this year is the Perfectly Wrapped Project Kit.

It's £22.50 and makes 8 bags and 8 boxes.  I've had a quick play to make 1 of each.

The stamps and inks are available separately for this kit but the kit itself contains loads of goodies to make 4 of each of the above.

It was easy to do and quite satisfying to get a different range of products at the end of it.

Birthday flowers

This card features some stamps from the Number of Years set - but without the numbers today!

I've also used the Hardwood stamp - sentiment is from Number of Years also.

In addition I have used:

Ink:
Pear Pizzazz
Sweet Sugarplum
Calypso Coral
Pool Party
Tip Top Taupe

Card:
Pool Party
Tip Top Taupe
Whisper White

Sweet Sugarplum ruched ribbon

Wedding Bears

My computer had a funny 5 when I tried posting yesterday - bless it!

This little picture frame has the lovely baby bears in again in a design we were shown at OnStage:

Another really great idea and an ideal gift.

And then a little Peekaboo Peach curvy keepsake.  I've used some of the Playful Palette DSP on 2 of the sides and a flower from the Flower Shop and Petite Petals stamp set - both punched out with matching punches of course.

Just Peachy!

Another quick catch up.
Firstly, a frame I've decorated in the style of one we did at one of Jenny's Extravaganzas a while ago. Sadly the spiral flower die is now retired but I have used the new colour Peekaboo Peach for them (next to Very Vanilla):

And just a teeny notebook I decorated with the ever cute penguin - not just for Christmas - and the bow punch.

Hedgies!

This is the final cutie from the Love you Lots hostess set - and isn't it great?

I saw this idea on Pinterest and had to CASE it.  The link is here.
This card also uses the Painter's Palette stamp set.

I also featured another motorbike card on Facebook yesterday:

This card was in the great magazine we get as a demonstrator so I had to copy that too!

Monday 13 June 2016

Dapper boy bear

A quick boy bear today!

I have stamped him in the same colours as the girl bear I posted previously but promise I shall be trying lots more colour combos.

This card also heavily features another new colour - Dapper Denim.

You're always there for me ...

Another cutie from the Love you Lots hostess set today:

I've stamped the elephant and mouse with Basic Gray on Smoky Slate card and cut them out and 'paper pieced' on to the image which I've stamped on some Lots of Labels framelits.

The sentiment is also from the set and cut with a Mini Treat Bag Thinlit.

Sweet Sugarplum is the other colour used, along with some of the new in colour ribbon and white perfect accents.

Still one more cute animal in the set to come another day.

Card Kit

There are some great kits in the catalogue.  This card is from the 'Oh Happy Day' card kit.

It's an all-inclusive kit for £31.50.  This means you get 20 card bases and envelopes, all the embellishments you need, a set of 13 photopolymer stamps, an acrylic block and an ink pad.

This is great to give as a present or to take on holiday as it also comes in a lovely box!
Or just to treat yourself and know that you have everything required to make 20 cards - and a few bits left over to embellish some others.

Swirly Seas

Similar to my previous 'swirly' post but with a few different elements:

This time the background is a piece of paper from a new 6" x 6" stack called Serene Scenery.
This piece was ideal for these boats.

I've used the stamp set Swirly Bird for the sun and boats and the matching Swirly Scribbles thinlits for the sea but hopefully you can see I have cut it out using 3 different colours (which are also in the paper) and inlaid the gaps with the different pieces.  So much to be done with this die and this is just one in the set!

Colours used in the sea are Island Indigo, Bermuda Bay and Pool Party.

Sunshine is on its way!

A CASE straight from the catalogue today with the new stamp set Sunshine Sayings and matching Sunshine Wishes Thinlits.

Let's hope we can make it happen!:

I've used So Saffron ink for the stamping and Bermuda Bay to add colour to the word 'sunshine' with an aqua painter.

The flower die is cut in Crushed Curry.  There are 26 stamps in the set which you can mix and match to make all sorts of sayings.

This card is finished with some Bermuda Bay sequin trim.

Not my usual sort of card but I am trying different styles and ideas and I quite like this set already.

Enjoy the ride

Another gift idea today in the form of a decorated notebook - and one for the men!

These stamps are from a new set called 'One Wild Ride', it has some rather good sentiments with it too.

I've used DSP for the inside of the notebook cover and it's all been stamped in the new Dapper Denim which gives it a rather smart look.

There is a punch for the 'badge' but I don't have it yet and it was easy enough to cut out (for now!).

Tuesday 7 June 2016

Foxy

This is my other 'must have' item - the Foxy Friends stamp set with matching papers and punch.

And the set isn't just for foxes - but more on that another day!

I have 3D'd this little chaps head and layered him on some of the new layering circle framelits.

The trees are also in the stamp set and match the Perfect Pines framelits.

Sentiment is from the new Sunshine Sayings stamp set and punched out with the new Classic Label punch.

Colours used are Calypso Coral, Smoky Slate & Pool Party.

Monday 6 June 2016

Baby Bear is here!

My first order from the new catalogue where we could have 'everything' has arrived.

Two items were top of my list, Baby Bear was one of them - it's proving to be a really popular stamp set:

It's a three-step stamp set.  On this example I have used 2 colours - crumb cake, chocolate chip stamped off and then chocolate chip for the last layer.

The 'pink' is provided by Flirty Flamingo for this card.

They are slightly hidden on the right of the card but I also added a few enamel shapes - just because I could!

Sunday 5 June 2016

Anyone for cake?

This is the Sweet Stack project kit from the last catalogue.

I bought it at the last minute when I found out the cake die was staying in.

I've made this to start with and will shortly re-supply my cake stand with lots of different slices made with different colour card and stamps - they make great little party treats to take home as you can fill them with a few little things!

The 'Cutie Pie' thinlit set is £32 but it has 12 dies in it, including the bow and candles.

This cake will turn up at Ilchester Primary School Fun Day on 18th June if you fancy a slice!

Saturday 4 June 2016

Thank you ladybirds

A friend of the froggy from a few days ago, this is another cute stamp from the Love you lots hostess set:

I've used a few dies from the new Layering Squares framelits and the sentiment is from the same stamp set as the ladybirds.

I've used a die from the mini treat bag framelits to cut the sentiment out.

Friday 3 June 2016

A sprinkles shaker

Some products in the new catalogue are aimed at producing shaker cards, this is a little sample we made at On Stage:

The stamp set is Confetti Celebration and this little card uses the new Sprinkles punch with some sequins and a great new product - foam adhesive strips that make producing shaker cards a breeze.

Card and ink colours are Daffodil Delight, Pacific Point and Melon Mambo.

Thursday 2 June 2016

Bloomin' Love!

This card has been in my 'blog' queue so long the paper has just gone from the retiring seasonal catalogue - sorry!

But - the Bloomin' Love stamp set and thinlits are carrying on.

It's a very delicate die but it cuts brilliantly.  There are stamps to match the little flowers but I've just cut them from matching paper this time.

My latest package of brand new stuff arrives on Monday - very exciting!
Foxy and Baby Bear will be coming this way very shortly.

Project Showcase

A quick retrospective today before I tempt you with all the new goodies.

These are some of my projects to show a few different options for all the Stampin' Up! products.
Please note some of these items are no longer available but hopefully they will still give you some ideas if you haven't seen them before.

My first ever scrapbook page I made for our Bloomin' Buds weekend last year:

(The bottom right pictures show my curvy keepsake show and tell I made!).

Then the 3D gift I made for this years weekend swap using the CraftyHallett bag:

And a picture frame that I've made this week and am rather pleased with:

A side view to try and show some of the butterflies are stuck on the glass of the frame too:

This is the card I made for my Grandma's 100th birthday (along with another one that turned up!):

This is an A5 card, I also made a 70th a week later in a standard A6 card size:

Then a rather fun card using the Playful Pals that still makes me smile:

And my swap for the last OnStage at Telford that also went down well:

Thanks for looking.
